Project 365

This is a project I have been contemplating for a couple of years, but have put it off thinking I wouldn't be able to take the time.  Now that I've finished my Master's degree, and things have settled down, I have finally taken the plunge.  My goal is to post my pictures weekly here on the blog and everyday on instagram.  The idea is to shoot everyday, capture everyday beauty and life, and push myself creatively.  I am following prompts from the CM Glimpse Instagram project.  There is a prompt everyday, and we share and encourage one another along the way.  Here are this week's photos - I started Jan. 1st.

In addition, here are some photos I took as I was experimenting for the prompts.  Today, there is a blanket of fresh snow, and it is beautiful.

Snow Days Are Perfect

There is no gift like a snow day.  I don't think I've ever seen this much snow!  We got 14 inches, and its beautiful!  Annie had a bunch of friends over last night, and Madison invited friends over today.  They had a great time playing in the snow, eating junk food, drinking hot chocolate, and giggling.  Thank you snow, for giving us a glorious, unplanned day off.  I am supposed to be doing homework, but I've been playing with my photos way too much today.

This was the view out our front door today.  So pretty.

I love that my sweet teenagers still love playing in the snow.

Tomorrow we will take them to an actual hill.  Today the driveway worked just fine.

This is Annie's igloo.  She never quite finished it, she just had fun jumping in it.  

Thank you God, for our snow day.  It was marvelous.
