Project 365

This is a project I have been contemplating for a couple of years, but have put it off thinking I wouldn't be able to take the time.  Now that I've finished my Master's degree, and things have settled down, I have finally taken the plunge.  My goal is to post my pictures weekly here on the blog and everyday on instagram.  The idea is to shoot everyday, capture everyday beauty and life, and push myself creatively.  I am following prompts from the CM Glimpse Instagram project.  There is a prompt everyday, and we share and encourage one another along the way.  Here are this week's photos - I started Jan. 1st.

Prompts:
Upper righthand: winter, top middle: unmade bed, upper left: extra, middle long: color, lower left: ambiguous, middle bottom: brand new (bracelets), right long:  extra

In addition, here are some photos I took as I was experimenting for the prompts.  Today, there is a blanket of fresh snow, and it is beautiful.

Orange, Crisp, Lovely Fall

I got up early this morning to snap some photos in the golden light of sunrise.  I'm participating in the Nurture Fall Photography Challenge over at Bumbles and Light and Live and Love Out Loud .   I am loving it!  I love this weather, and I love that it gets me out practicing my shooting.  The orange is quickly disappearing from the trees, though.  I am late getting this posted, because it has been a crazy busy week, and I swear three days ago, there were absolutely beautiful orange leaves right next to the driveway, and I went out this morning, and they had all disappeared!  Time moves oh so fast!  Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!

These are my favorites.  The lighting is delicious!  So worth getting  up early on a Saturday.

On the photo below, I added a FREE texture from Shadowhouse Creations.  I used the November   2011 collection.  Love!

Another free texture from the October Collection at Shadowhouse Creations.

One good thing about commuting is watching the beautiful sunrises.  I pulled over to snap a photo   as the sun was rising in front of a field of hay bales.

   Have a glorious day!

Fall Challenge: Yellow

I had a lot of fun taking these pictures.  I looovvee this time of year.  Taking up photography has really made me notice the beauty that surrounds us much more.  I find myself always looking for beautiful locations when I'm driving, so much so that I've about driven off the road a couple of times!  Those that know me won't be surprised.  Ahem.

Don't know how yellow this is, but I wanted to get a closeup of the web stuff.

I love the golden hour.  So beautiful.

I just had to stop along the side of the road and take this.  I always wonder if people think I'm crazy. Cuz they're right.

I was going for the reflection here.

                    More webs.

I took this while trying to go down the steep bank in my silver slippery flats.  Then something big splashed into the water all of a sudden.  I screamed.  Yep. Yep, I did.

       Thanks for stopping by!  Blessings.

And if you would like to get in on the fun, link up below!
