Field of Dreamy Golden Light

My senior session this week was cancelled because of rain.  Of course, the next day, Wednesday, was absolutely beautiful.  I went on a 5 mile walk in the morning with my friend Sarah and it was 66 degrees!  Unbelievable.  Anyway, my senior had to reschedule, so my girls wanted a photo session.  I have to say they are some of the favorite photos I've ever taken.  They exemplify everything I love about photography - beautiful, golden, backlit, romantic and soft.  Does it make a difference what time of day you take photos?  Absolutely.  There is nothing like the hour before sunset for beautifully lit, sundrenched backlighting.  I just upgraded my camera to a full frame D700 and I love it!  I'm a firm believer that you can take good photos with any camera, but excellent equipment does make a difference.  My friend Danielle was nice enough to let me borrow her 85 mm 1.8 lens, and it is definitely on my wish list!  Thanks, Danielle!

When I look at my girls, they take my breath away.  They are unbelievably beautiful gifts from God.  They are loads of fun to be around right now, and I just want to freeze time.
